Elsie's by Owlisms

by - July 08, 2014

Looking for a chill and comfy place where you can munch on filipino favorite foods and sip on hot brewed coffee friendly to your pocket, I think Owlisms is one of them.

Owlisms serve mostly breakfast, merienda and dessert foods like pancit molo, arroz caldo, coffee, bread and other baked goodies at affordable prices.

Elsie's started at 1978 by Elsie Uytiepo Torrejon, the very first ballerina teacher in Bacolod City. As she retired from being a  ballerina teacher, she discovered her passion in cooking and baking. She experimented and perfected her cakes and pastries until she came up with the very first freshly baked frozen bread in the Philippines. Their business was known as L.C's Yummies and then in 2002 the brand name changed into Elsie's. Their products was now delivered and served in Manila area.

Our nook place Market! Market! While waiting for our cousins to arrive, my sister and I decided to have a light snack. We always passby Owlisms shop but we never tried to eat there. There's always a first time. Looking at the menu posted on the wall, my sister wanted to try them.

The main products they offer

See this Owl designed plates, so cute!

a very unique way that barely represents Owlisms.

Chicken Arroz Caldo Php 55.00
taste really good with its strips of chicken meat, spring onion, garlic bits and drizzled with calamansi juice for an affordable price.
Definitely would come back to try their bestseller pastries combined with brewed coffee. ;)
